As a result of freezing, a hose bib broke in a wall cavity and flooded into a 3000 square foot home for an estimated three weeks! The home was severely damaged by water and because the furnace inside the home kept things warm and toasty during the flooding, it resulted in extensive mold. It was actively growing on nearly every surface inside the structure and on all personal content, even on wooden spoons inside of a kitchen drawer!
Mammoth Restoration inventoried, documented, and removed all of the content from the home. Many salvageable personal items were taken to our warehouse to be properly dried, cleaned and stored for the property owners. With the content addressed, Mammoth’s crew was able to begin the dry out process by removing the damaged structural items, such as drywall, insulation, and flooring. Under controlled conditions, all of the remaining moisture was removed from the remaining structural components and the whole home was cleaned and treated. The home was remodeled and is better than new!
