Dogs are welcome

Whether you want to visit the quaint town of Flagstaff or get away for some hiking, there are a lot of dog-friendly activities you can take your canine to. Flagstaff, Arizona is a great place for dog lovers because it has a rich history and nature to explore. It is the gateway to Arizona’s top natural features.

The Flagstaff Visitors Center offers free maps for downtown walking tours and walking guides. They can also provide advice on local pet-friendly businesses.

There are 58 miles of pathways in the city, which means you will have plenty of options for exploring. There are also several dog-friendly hiking trails, including the Nate Avery Loop Trail, which stretches through a pine forest.

The Arboretum at Flagstaff is a large, 200-acre garden and greenhouse that is open from May through October. The gardens feature more than 750 species of plants. There are also interpretive exhibits to explore.

Pets are allowed on the paved roads in monuments, but not inside buildings. There are also shaded areas outside the Visitor Center, so you can bring your dog if the temperature is too hot.

The Arboretum at Flagstaff has 200 acres of gardens, greenhouses, and open spaces. It’s open Wednesday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm. It has plenty of open areas for picnics and kids to play.

Rules for dog owners

Whether you’re a dog owner or simply a dog lover, you’ll want to check out Thorpe Park in Flagstaff, Arizona. This off-leash park is well-maintained and has a couple of dog parks, including one for small dogs. There are also agility equipment, benches, and a water fountain.

In addition to the Thorpe Park, Flagstaff has two other off-leash dog parks. These parks are maintained by the Parks Section of the city. Bushmaster Park is the other one.

These parks are not as well maintained as the Bark Park, but they are great places for your dog to play and explore. They have a nice playground, soccer field, and benches for people. They also provide water and trash receptacles for pets.

Location

Located on the west side of downtown, Thorpe Park is one of the largest city parks in Flagstaff, Arizona. It is made up of 219 acres. It includes a dog park and ball fields. It also has a remodeled and expanded adult recreation center. Other amenities include playgrounds, a picnic ramada and lighted tennis courts.

Thorpe Park also offers a disc golf course. The course is free and open year round. It winds through mature ponderosa pines and is one of the most popular courses in Flagstaff. The course has 18 baskets installed following the object course path. It was established in the 1990s. The course has hosted two tournaments. It was created by Gary Bennett, who pitched the idea to the City of Flagstaff. He also served as the tournament director. The course was sponsored by Aspen Sports.
